Get to know Chamber Dance Project, DC’s modern ballet and music experience. Encounter dance and live music together onstage. Get up close with dancers from some of the country’s preeminent ballet companies, onstage with a string quartet comprised of some of Washington’s best musicians.
We’ve also brought in a jazz trio, featuring Lena Seikaly, to perform in the brand new ballet, Songs by Cole, an ode to Cole Porter. Songs by Cole will feature special costumes commissioned specifically for the piece by local designer, Bekah Nettekoven Tello. We also partner with Mosche Brass, a DC favorite—you may have caught one of their energetic performances outside the Dupont Metro station. Their brass and percussion lend a flavor you won’t find in classical ballet.
You’ll have the opportunity to take a backstage tour, then join the artists for drinks next door at Denson.
