Looking ahead to our 12th season in Washington, D.C., we invite you to join our campaign as we aim to raise $25,000 to support our Travel and Housing Fund. Our esteemed board member, Mary McGrane, founded the fund in 2022 to provide our dancers, choreographers, composers, and visiting musicians with a comfortable, safe, and convenient place to live for the weeks they spend here rehearsing and performing.
Your contribution to the Travel and Housing Fund directly helps covers the costs to bring in and host these high calibre artists from across the country.
“I had been a long-time fan of classical ballet but never had any interest in modern dance until a friend persuaded me to attend a CDP performance. And that’s all it took — the transportive and innovative dancing, a venue where I could see the entire performance without bobbing and weaving around, and beautiful live music — and I was hooked.
Prior to the establishment of the Fund, our accommodations were scattered throughout the area and were of very uneven quality. The donations to the Fund have allowed us to locate everyone near our rehearsal space in a partnership with Simply Suites, which provides private, comfortable suites with kitchens. Please contribute to this Fund to help support our artists.”
– Mary McGrane, Board of Directors President
