Immerse yourself in an intimate evening of live music with Chamber Dance Project’s resident string quartet. They will not only play but deconstruct and discuss the music that will bring our ballets to life in the 2025 season. Following the concert, join us for a reception to engage with our musicians and Artistic Director.

You’ll be captivated by the haunting beauty of Philip Glass’s String Quartets No. 2 and 3, as they set the tone for “Exit Wounds”, choreographed by Diane Coburn Bruning. Arvo Pärt’s “Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten” is an elegiac piece that Pärt dedicated to Britten to show his respect and admiration for Britten’s music.

Quartet Cellist Benjamin Wensel will bring Kaija Saariaho’s “Spins and Spells” to life. The piece evokes two gestures- one of spinning tops and one of timeless moments of sound color and texture. The night culminates in the intense rhythms of Alberto Ginastera’s String Quartet No. 1, where music and motion collide in a dynamic, unforgettable performance —secure your tickets today!
