Witness the world premiere of Songs by Cole, a ballet with a live jazz trio performing the beloved music of Cole Porter. Feel the New Orleans rhythms of Rue Noir by New York choreographer, Jennifer Archibald. Experience the sultry tangos of Sur by Argentinean choreographer Jorge Amarante, the provocative beauty of Arranged and the soaring athleticism of the poignant male duet Exit Wounds, by Diane Coburn Bruning.
Five ballets. Three choreographers. Three music ensembles performing live onstage. An evening from award-winning choreographer Diane Coburn Bruning and her troupe of principal dancers assembled from major ballet companies and DC’s finest brass, jazz and chamber musicians.
